TextField1: The Commission is seeking services to develop a new, detailed database on industry-level employment, labor compensation, and capital stock. The database will contain these figures disaggregated by country, industry, and year (coverage should match that of the Commission's International Trade and Production Database for Estimation Release 2 (265 countries, 170 industries, 1986-2019 for Agriculture, 1988-2019 for Manufacturing, Mining and Energy, 2000-2019 for services).
TextField1: Professor Mario Larch is a researcher who has significant experience analyzing and developing databases that have been similar to the one in this requirement. He is uniquely qualified for this work because he had helped develop the International Trade and Production Database, and understands the challenges that came along with its development and how to address them. Those types of challenges will surely arise as this requirement is developed. Awarding the project to another vendor will add costs and delays to the work as they will have to be educated on the issues associated with developing a database like this.
TextField1: Commission staff continues to survey the market to identify other researchers/organizations with the specific skill set required for this type of effort.
