Text6: United States Code 3304(a)(1) as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
Text7: The 187th exclusively utilizes Johnson Controls for HVAC system's Direct Digital Controls. This is the only manufacturer that is utilized to allow for standardization and guaranteed interoperability. To build a structure that did not utilize this system would compromise the ability to control and monitor base utilities to reduce energy consumption to the maximum extent possible. Utilizing other manufacturers would necessitate the purchase of additional centralized monitoring systems for the the Weapons Release B1312 and Civil Engineering B1801.
The 187th currently uses the Monaco fire alarm system base wide. No other fire alarm transceiver will integrate with the Monaco system. Therefore the use of any other fire alarm transceiver would result in a substantial duplication of cost that will not be recovered through competition.
Stanley Best Access Systems-Locks: Master-keyed interchangeable lock cores manufactured by Stanley Best Access Systems are the standard for securing buildings at the 187FW. Lock handles and other devices aren't required to be Stanley Best Access Systems but all other devices must be fully compatible with MX-8 Best Access cores. Without Stanley Best Access System-Locks, the integrity of the security for our base would be compromised.
Advantor Security System – Air Force/NGB certified security system. Advantor is the only security system used on the 187FW facilities based on NGB selection process.
| Text8: A pre-solicitation notice was placed in beta.sam.gov in order to give contractors an early notification of this project. However, due to the proprietary nature of the Johnson Controls system, Monaco Fire alert system, Stanley Best Access Systems-Locks and Advantor Security System, no effort to compete with these band name requirements will be made. | |
