About this file

This Justification and Approval (J&A) document details a contract extension for Multi-Function Printer (MFP) Supplies & Support with Lexmark International Inc. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is extending contract #693JJ325C000011 for one month through July 12, 2025, with two additional one-month optional periods from 7/13/2025 to 9/12/2025. The total estimated amount for the initial extension is $76,238.68, with two optional periods totaling $152,477.36.

The extension is due to a protest filed with the GAO, which has resulted in a CICA stay and suspension of contract performance. The contracting officer is using FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) to justify the non-competitive extension while working to address the protest and establish a new award. Market research was performed through GSA's Market Research As a Service (MRAS), and the pricing is considered fair and reasonable based on the incumbent contract and proposed competition.
