About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) in Detroit, Michigan, seeking a vendor to provide phones and telecommunications services. JRLA is soliciting bids for two contract options: (1) an annual contract with three additional 1-year renewal options, and (2) a 3-year contract. The vendor will have the opportunity to conduct a site visit between February 26th and March 14th at 15000 Trojan Street, Detroit, to assess the current infrastructure and design a tailored Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) solution. The scope of services includes a comprehensive site survey, system design and planning, equipment provision, installation and configuration, and testing and quality assurance for the school's telecommunications infrastructure.

The RFP requires vendors to submit payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the bid amount, and stipulates that failure to submit required insurance certificates and bonds within ten days may result in forfeiture of the proposal bond and contract award. While specific pricing details are not provided in the document, the RFP indicates that vendors should provide cost proposals for both the annual and 3-year contract options. The project involves supplying VOIP phones, networking equipment, and associated services, with the exact quantity and specifications to be determined based on the site survey. The vendor will be responsible for installing phones, configuring the system, and ensuring optimal network performance and call quality.

❖ vendor’s bonds: Payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the bid amount. (if applicable)

If the vendor refuses or fails to submit the insurance certificates and vendor’s bonds within the ten (10) day period, JRLA will consider the Bidder to have abandoned all rights and interest in the Contract award. Consequently, the proposal bond may be declared forfeited to JRLA and the work may be awarded to another Bidder.
