Job Order Contract for General Contractor.pdf

This is a Job Order Contract (JOC) solicitation document issued by Round Rock Independent School District in Texas to establish a supplemental pool of general contractors. The district seeks qualified general contractors to provide construction and renovation services through a job order contracting mechanism, which allows for flexible project execution under pre-established terms and pricing. The solicitation follows standard JOC protocols wherein individual work orders are issued against the master contract for specific projects as needs arise. Bidders must comply with all instructions, terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in the solicitation package. The contract is structured to supplement the district's existing contractor pool, enabling efficient project delivery across multiple facility maintenance, repair, and construction initiatives throughout the school system.

The pricing structure for this JOC utilizes a cost-plus or unit-price methodology typical of job order contracts, allowing for competitive pricing on individual work orders issued during the contract term. The solicitation likely includes set-asides for small businesses or minority-owned enterprises in accordance with Texas procurement policies. As a supplement to existing contractor pools, the contract does not replace current incumbents but rather expands the district's available resources. Interested contractors must meet all prequalification requirements, insurance obligations, and bonding requirements specified in the solicitation. The contract term and any renewal options would be detailed within the full solicitation documents, with funding derived from the district's operational and capital improvement budgets allocated for facility maintenance and construction projects.
