About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the purchase of Deutz Diesel engines for the 611th Civil Engineer Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, scheduled for 9 April 2025. The procurement supports the mandatory ten-year overhaul of the BAK-12 Aircraft Arresting System (AAS) and Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS). The specific requirements include one Deutz Diesel Tier4i Engine (63.7 HP@2600 RPM, 24 Volt electrical system) with multiple accompanying components such as a LOFA 24 VDC Control Panel, Power Take-Off package, 24 VDC starter and alternator, glow plugs, engine harness, exhaust pipe, and various other specialized parts.
The vendor must perform comprehensive quality assurance (QA) inspections prior to shipment, including verifying engine safety shut-down devices, gauge functionality, throttle operation, D.C. charging system, and engine preheat system. The diesel engine assembly kit must be fully assembled except for the control panel, parts manual, and operators manual, which will be packaged separately. The project is subject to final inspection and approval from 611 CES/CEOFP in the Wide Area Workflow system, with strict requirements for packaging, transportation, and component security during shipment.
