About this file
This document is a justification and approval for other than full and open competition. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Dayton VA Medical Center is seeking approval to award a sole source contract on a brand name basis to Tork for toilet tissue and hand towel roll dispensers. The products are required to match dispensers already in use on campus in order to minimize stocking different supplies. Tork is identified as the only manufacturer that can meet this need. The anticipated cost is deemed fair and reasonable based on commercial prices. Market research found the Tork products have been used elsewhere on the VA campus. The contract will be awarded as part of a firm fixed price construction project for a new PET-CT building addition.
