About this file
This document is a justification and approval for a sole source contract award. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation plans to award an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for main rotorcraft extension assemblies. The estimated value is between $550,000 and $14 million over five years. A market survey found this part must be acquired from the original equipment manufacturer due to lack of government data rights. A sources sought notice on November 14, 2022 received no responses. The justification cites that technical data is unavailable to permit full and open competition. The agency will encourage potential sources to seek approval to compete for future requirements.
