The company currently has no authorized 3rd party or subcontracted service providers due to the proprietary nature of the equipment and supported software. This contract will provide dedicated services specifically for the Government-owned Omnicell equipment. Omnicell, Inc. is the OEM for this equipment, and has no authorized distributors or partnerships at this time. They do not have any third party service provider agreements in place and do not provide biomedical engineer service training. As such, they are the only company capable of providing qualified service technicians to maintain and repair the equipment. This contract will provide dedicated services specifically for the system in question. Only authorized Omnicell services will be allowed which are compatible with the Government owned Omnicell equipment.
b. The use of any other service providers could result in lowering the standard of care provided and cause delays in access to healthcare. OmniCell, Inc. is only authorized vendor that can provide requested maintenance services and OEM parts on the medication management system.

7. Market Research: Market research was conducted to determine the extent of competition available. A search on the Small Business Administration website, with and without the NAICS code 811219, using keywords “Automated Dispensing”, “Medical Dispensing”, and “Medication Cabinet”, returned one result totally unrelated to the requirement. Market research revealed the maintenance service is available on GSA, SIN 65 II A, Category A-92, Medication and Supply Packaging and Dispensing Equipment. There have been no confirmed competitors for this maintenance service other than the OEM, Omnicell, Inc.

The equipment is government-owned and the only service provider, Omnicell, holds the proprietary information.
