- FA8604-20-P-5015
About this file
This sole source justification document outlines requirements for a subscription to Kuder Career Planning System software packages, including Galaxy, Navigator, and Journey. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center issued a sources sought notice on beta.SAM.gov on June 17, 2020 for 14 days and an intent to award on a sole source basis notice on July 6, 2020 for 5 days. Kuder was the only response received that could provide the full suite of capabilities needed to support educational and career planning services for military members, dependents, and civilians through Air Force library resources. These include age-appropriate career and education assessments, exploration of career interests and occupations, resume and cover letter creation, and job searching. The awarded firm-fixed-price contract to an unknown vendor for an unknown amount was made on August 31, 2020. The justification cites Kuder as the sole provider that can meet all requirements and provide continuity across user age groups with its 80 years of research and evidence-based, normed assessments.

18 Jun 2019 FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY Page 4 of 5 is an all-in-one online education and career planning system that is sets the foundation for true PreK-12 comprehensive college and career planning solutions. Designed by career guidance experts, Navigator helps students in grades 6-12 visualize their futures and make the most effective and efficient plans to reach goals.
Journey is a tool specifically designed for postsecondary students, job-seeking adults, and those making military-to-civilian transitions. Journey supports students' exploration of career interests and occupations, selection of majors and programs, preparation for the workforce, and job-seeking. It provides users the ability to complete an interactive assessment of their interests to explore potential career options, work through guided resume and cover letter creation, explore interactive interview practice, and work through actual job searches. They also support search opportunities for all job types including internships, apprenticeships, and entry-level and temporary listings.
Kuder is a leader in the industry for creating assessments for age appropriate career and educational guidance
Kuder assessments are the sole source of psychometric, evidence-based, normed career assessment with 80 continuous years of research and measurable results. It is unique in its capability to provide reports to document with its value and Return on Investment (ROI).
While there may be other software providers that can provide portions of the capabilities being sought, none could be found or responded that could provide the full package of capabilities other than Kuder brand software suite.
Obtaining a full suite is pertinent and allows for continuity between the platforms and users as they age. Without this acquisition, the AF Library's mission to provide military members and their dependents with safe educational and recreational support would be seriously harmed or delayed without the latest, up-to-the-minute information and full service capabilities available from this subscription.
