About this file
This document is a Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition for a firm-fixed-price contract to procure 248 units of Ammunition Chute, NSN 1005-01-176-6085, from Standard Armament Incorporated (SAI) for a total estimated value of $490,544.
The J&A cites 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) as the legal authority, stating that SAI is the only approved manufacturer with proprietary technical data for the main component. The Government is not pursuing competition due to the risk of disrupting performance of the Ammunition Chute. The contract will be awarded using Army Working Capital Funds. No subcontracting plan is required as the estimated value is under $750,000.
