About this file
This document contains a justification and approval for other than full and open competition and a special notice of intent to sole source for reagents and consumables for the Hologic Panther Fusion analyzer. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 06 intends to award an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract to Hologic, Inc. on a sole source basis. The contract will provide continuously stocked reagents, standards, controls, supplies, disposables, equipment repair and preventative maintenance for the Panther system at the Hampton VA Medical Center. Specific reagents to be provided include those for HIV, HCV, HPV and SARS-CoV-2 testing. Interested parties may identify their capability by September 22, 2022. The justification cites FAR 6.302-1 for only one responsible source being available as the reason for other than full and open competition, as Hologic is the sole provider of the needed proprietary supplies and services for the Panther system.
