About this file

This document contains a justification for a single source award for a federal contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs needs a new full-body phototherapy unit for patient care services at its Omaha VA Medical Center. The Dermatology Section currently lacks phototherapy capacity. Daavlin phototherapy units are extensively used by affiliated institutions, and staff are already trained to use Daavlin equipment. The required unit must be compatible with standard 110V outlets, have a height of 77 inches, width of 41 inches, and depth of 30.5 inches. Market research found no alternative products on GSA Advantage, ECAT, or SAC contracts. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 36C26323Q0804 for a 6515 full-body phototherapy system from Daavlin, with the Department of Veterans Affairs as the agency.
