About this file

This is an Item Unique Identification (IUID) Checklist document governed by DFARS 252.211.7003, establishing marking requirements for a specific defense item.

The item requiring IUID marking is a Starter-Generator (NSN 2925004656344GA), version 4, designated as a DC Generator. The requirement was initiated by Steven K. Dennard at AFLCMC/WIUEE (Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/Warner Robins). Marking must be performed in accordance with the latest version of MIL-STD-130. The recommended marking instruction utilizes a data label applied via laser etching, with two acceptable methods: Method 1 involves applying a UID label per drawing 200814078-059A in an area visible when viewing the OEM nameplate without interfering with moving or rotating components, with surface preparation using Isopropyl Alcohol Grade A; the alternate method uses a UID plate per drawing 200814078-059G, formed to the surface and bonded using MAGNOBOND 6398 A/B or equivalent. The nomenclature must be listed as "Generator, DC," and existing markings must not be covered during application. Supporting attachments include the label unique identification document (200814078_98752) and DC Generator specifications (23046-019). The embedded items section contains no additional items requiring marking. This checklist was generated on 29 January 2026 as version 4.
