About this file
This document is Amendment Number One (1) for Invitation to Bid (ITB) 2525N157 issued by the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities, Statewide Contracting & Procurement. The amendment, dated May 15, 2025, modifies the original solicitation for McCarthy Rural Airport Maintenance by making three specific corrections: (1) updating contractor communication requirements with the Airport Manager to include daily contact via email, telephone, or fax; (2) clarifying daily inspection timing to be completed by 10:00 am on scheduled mail flight days or after snow events of 3 inches or more; and (3) adjusting snow control efforts to begin when four inches of snow or one-half inch of slush accumulates on runway or taxiway surfaces. The bid due date remains May 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM Alaska Time, and vendors are required to return a signed copy of this amendment with their bid to avoid potential non-responsiveness.
The amendment is part of a competitive bidding process for a six-month airport maintenance contract covering the period from November 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026, with potential renewal for three additional one-year terms. The solicitation includes Alaska-specific bidder preferences, including a 5% Alaska Bidder Preference, a 5% Alaska Veterans Preference, and a 2% Alaska Military Skills Program Preference. Contractors must provide comprehensive insurance coverage and supply their own equipment. The procurement emphasizes nondiscrimination and ensures full opportunity for disadvantaged business enterprises to submit bids without discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.
