About this file

This document is a bid set for the Cruise Terminal 5 Marine Improvements project, issued by the Canaveral Port Authority in Port Canaveral, Florida. The project involves selective demolition of the existing open-pile concrete pier and adjacent mooring dolphins at Cruise Terminal 5, followed by construction of new pier extensions to the north and south. Key scope elements include installing new mooring fixtures, marine fenders, steel monopile mooring dolphins, modifying existing aluminum catwalks, updating electrical and potable water systems, repairing pier deck joints and curbs, and installing new concrete curbs and handrails.

The bid documents outline comprehensive quality control, environmental protection, and project management requirements for the contractor. The project will utilize an Owner Direct Purchase Program to manage material procurement, with specific provisions for submittals, certifications, and cost tracking. The contract includes detailed specifications for scheduling, traffic regulation, inspections, and environmental compliance, with particular emphasis on protecting marine wildlife such as manatees and sea turtles. While specific budget details are not explicitly stated, the documents suggest a structured approach to project execution with multiple milestones and strict performance standards.
