The project involves marine infrastructure improvements, including mobilization, site coordination, demolition, and new construction activities. Key elements include installing 5 monopile dolphins, 8 mooring bollards, 3 fenders, catwalk relocations, and modifications, along with various concrete and structural work. The project is scheduled for substantial completion by August 31, 2026, with liquidated damages of $10,000 per calendar day for delays beyond the specified completion date.
The bid includes an allowance of $660,000 and requires comprehensive documentation from bidders, including a bid bond, financial statements, contractor licenses, and various certifications. Bidders must submit a detailed proposal with unit costs for different project components, and the Canaveral Port Authority reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder based on the sum of base bid items and allowances. The bid documents specify that all materials, equipment, and labor are to be included, with potential for some materials to be separately procured by the Port Authority and subtracted from the contract amount through deductive change orders.
