About this file
The document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. 24/25-018 OPS issued by the Suwannee River Water Management District for Rock Aggregate Products. The solicitation seeks to purchase various rock aggregate materials from suppliers throughout the year on an as-needed basis. The bid is scheduled for release on September 25, 2025, with questions due by September 29, 2025, and bid packages due electronically through DemandStar prior to 9:00 a.m. on October 2, 2025. The contract pricing will be guaranteed for one year, ending September 30, 2026, with an option to renew for an additional year under the same or more favorable terms.
The bid response form requires suppliers to quote prices per ton for multiple rock aggregate materials, including both Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) approved and non-FDOT approved products. These materials range from road base and entrance stone to various sizes of rock classifications like #89, #57, #5, and #4, as well as specialized materials such as rip rap, bank and shore boulders, and clean fill. Supplier selection will be based on bid price and distance from the mine to the job site, with prices quoted for loading material onto the District's contract trucks at the mine. The solicitation emphasizes fair competition, encourages minority business enterprise participation, and includes provisions for veteran-owned business preference.
