About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation to Bid (ITB) #24-030 for Tree Removal Services issued by the City of Sandy Springs. The addendum provides updates and clarification on the bid requirements, including additional pricing for emergency response crews, equipment, and specialized services such as aerial tower trucks, cranes, and traffic control. The bid response is due on December 20, 2023, at 2:00 pm. The contract term is not specified, but the addendum allows for annual cost increases of up to 5% for each additional year after the initial award.
The updated pricing schedule covers a range of tree removal and pruning services, based on tree diameter size, with both emergency and non-emergency rates provided. The City has also requested pricing for prestaging emergency crews and equipment. Additionally, the City has provided historical spending data on tree removal services, indicating that four vendors were previously contracted, and has noted some past performance issues with vendor responsiveness. Vendors are required to have an ISA Certified Arborist on staff, and the City reserves the right to request additional equipment or services as needed, which would be priced separately.
