Section B: Description of the Supplies/Services Required
22 CS has a single source requirement to procure Trusted Systems items in the form of equipment, and licenses, specifically for Authentication Services on SIPR network, this is used to provide means to secure our network from unauthorized access of devices.
The TSM131WD-SC, along with its supporting components, is the sole solution authorized to securely lock devices within approved safes while permitting power-up and connectivity for updates. Notably, this device integrates Department of Defense (DoD)-approved biometrics, seamlessly compatible with AF CAC. This comprehensive solution combines DoD-certified hardware and software with industry-recognized biometric technology, ensuring the highest level of security for computing operations within an office environment.
Section C: Justification for Soliciting from a Single Source or Brand Name
Trusted Systems has the only combination of the approved hardware and software on the Air Force APL, as well as, biometric equipment to assure only approved access to SIPRNet while meeting TEMPEST requirements within an office space. this has been vetted and approved by the wing Cyber Security Office.
Section D: Efforts to Obtain Competition
Following extensive research, Trusted Systems is the only vendor we found that contains all the DoD devices (STIGed, MUDGED, etc.). No solution could be found that integrated a GSA approved type 5 safe with biomdetric capabilities. Notably, this solution was also successfully replicated and implemented at McChord Air Force Base, where it was selected to secure all commander's offices.
Section E: Steps to Preclude Future Single Source or Brand Name Awards
Market research will be conducted in future requirements in order to find other possible vendors that can provide this requirement.
