About this file

The Town of Sudbury, Massachusetts has issued a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the Goodnow Library Local History Room Renovation project. The RFQ seeks qualified contractors licensed in Massachusetts to perform modifications and enhancements to millwork in the Local History Room, including selective dismantling and removal of existing wood shelving units, and furnishing and installing new millwork cabinets and wall paneling. The project is targeted for a budget of $50,000 or less, with quotations due by 12:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Office of the Combined Facilities Director. Potential bidders can obtain RFQ documents starting Thursday, July 17, 2025, by email or phone, and the library's Local History Room is available for public viewing during normal business hours.

The scope of work involves creating new millwork that matches the existing 1998 shelving in configuration and finish, with wall paneling designed to match historical paneling in the opposite end of the room. The new cabinets will partially enclose owner-furnished metal flat files and lateral files already on-site. The Town reserves the right to reject any proposals and award the contract in its best interest. Questions about the RFQ must be submitted via email to Facilities@sudbury.ma.us by Monday, July 28, 2025, and no electronic submissions of quotations will be accepted. The project is expected to commence upon contract signing based on the proposer's qualifications and an acceptable fee.
