About this file
This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Kent County Road Commission (KCRC) in Walker, Michigan, for their 2025 requirements of corrugated metal pipe. The bid (#25-ENG-02) seeks to purchase spiral and riveted culvert pipes, connecting bands, standard flared ends, structural plates, and box culverts for field assembly, made from corrugated galvanized steel and aluminum alloy. Bids are due on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 8:30 AM and must be submitted through the BidNet Direct site. The contract will be considered for award on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, with a one-year renewal option for 2026, and quantities will be ordered on an "as-needed" basis throughout the year.
The bid specifies that pricing must be firm for the 2025 calendar year, with costs quoted per foot of length or per piece/assembly, FOB to any of KCRC's four district garages. An optional tariff adjustment clause allows bidders to account for potential changes in U.S. import tariffs on steel or aluminum materials. The specifications require compliance with the Michigan Department of Transportation's 2020 Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, and bidders must provide comprehensive price lists for various pipe dimensions, end sections, and connection types. Delivery is restricted to open trailers with removable sides, and materials will be subject to inspection upon delivery, with the right to reject non-compliant items.
