About this file

This document contains an Intra-Service Section 7 Biological Evaluation Form and details of a related federal grant opportunity through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. The Biological Evaluation Form is a template for applicants to complete regarding potential effects of their project on listed species, with determinations of no effect, may affect but not likely to adversely affect, or may affect and likely to adversely affect. It will be reviewed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Ecological Services Office.

The federal grant opportunity from the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service provides funding through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and Great Lakes Restoration federal grant program to support state implementation of Aquatic Invasive Species Management Plans. Eligible Great Lakes states can apply for competitive grants to fund activities preventing the introduction and spread of invasive species in the Great Lakes Basin, such as outreach, boat inspections, detection and rapid response. Proposed work must benefit the Basin. Invasive carp work must be coordinated through the Invasive Carp Regional Coordinating Committee's Action Plan.
