Responses must be received by 10:00 AM Central Time on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and should be submitted via email to Ivan Torres at ivan.torres1@va.gov with "Response to Intent to Sole Source for the PARATA Automated Medication Packaging Device ATP2" in the subject line. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and must be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller that can provide OEM warranty and service in accordance with OEM terms and conditions. The VA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice, and submitted documents will not be returned.

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE
1. This notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 124 E. Hwy 67 Suite 100 Duncanville Texas 75134.
THE VA INTENDS TO SOLELY NEGOTIATE WITH:
PARATA SYSTEMS, LLC
106 Roche Drive
Durham, NC 27703
For the acquisition of the PARATA Automated Medication Packaging Device ATP2.
2. Background and Requirement: The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) requires the procurement and installation of a PARATA Automated Medication Packaging Device ATP2 to support the newly constructed Waco inpatient pharmacy.
BRAND NAME ONLY.
3. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1)(ii), “Soliciting from a Single Source.”
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.
However, Contractors may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the contracting officer whether to continue with the sole source procurement or to provide for competition.
Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 17, will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Also, prospective contractor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller to the Department of Veterans Affairs for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with Response to Intent to Sole Source for the PARATA Automated Medication Packaging Device ATP2 in the subject line. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support this requirement.
4. Any responses to this notice are requested by 10:00 AM Central Time on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
