About this file

This notice announces the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences' intent to award a sole-source contract to ADS Biotec, Inc. The contract is for one BioDot Cell Writer, one Hanabi S1020 Automated Chromosome Staining System with an extra set of four racks, along with warranty and shipping services. The goal of the program is to transition to a clinical service laboratory to provide radiation dose assessment using cytogenetics for biodosimetry applications. Market research determined the Hanabi S1020 System from ADS Biotec is the only equipment that can meet requirements to produce high quality metaphase spreads for research. Interested parties may submit a response by July 17, 2020 to be considered for conducting a competitive procurement, though the notice indicates the equipment is only available from ADS Biotec as the U.S. distributor.
