DESCRIPTION

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 07 (NCO 07), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price base and options contract for Glomax Inc located at 11650 Olio Road, Suite 1000-285, Fishers, IN 46037. The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR FAR 13.106- 1(b)(2) – Soliciting from a single source. A Justification for Single Source Awards for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The anticipated award date is March 18, 2025.

The Contractor shall provide the Charleston VA with the following:

Salient Characteristics – MRidum 3860+ MRI IV Pump (Brand Only)

Intuitive Smart IV Pump Technology & Real Time SpO2 monitoring

10 digit keypad entry for ease of programming

Ease of use with conventional IV pump design and proven human factors engineering

Nonmagnetic designs allows for placement up to the 10,000 Gauss Line

Large LCD display providing highly visible and explanatory feedback

Expanded delivery range of 0.1 to 1400 ml per hour

Highly flexible -easily expandable to a second channel with add on SideCar module

Operates on long life Lithium Polymer battery

Vented 1057 Syringe set with low priming volume for anesthetic and other syringe based drug delivery

Unique 1055 bypass IV set allows for minimal waste of fluids and convenient patient transfer to the Mridium MRI IV Pump

Components

Mridium IV Infusion Pump: the non-magnetic Mridium + 360 and its ability to infuse medications within the MRI room maintains the same standard of care experienced in the

ICU.

Mridium Sidecar Channel: The Mridium with additional sidecar channels offers a unique and effective way to deliver multiple IV fluids, safely and accurately next to the MRI system.

DERS Dose Error Reduction System: Designed to reduce infusion errors, the DERS custom drug library enhances infusion safety, provides potential cost savings and allows compliance with ISMP and the Joint Commission recommendations.

Mridium Wireless remote control: eliminates delays cause by stopping the MRI scan to titrate or bolus by providing full operations from the MRI control room.

Fiber Optic SP02 Monitoring: capability provides additional monitoring capability when transporting patients to and from MRI.

These services and supplies will be performed/delivered to the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904 NAICS code: 339112 | Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard $19.0 Million) PSC: 6515| Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies

A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award and must submit a current authorized distributor letter from the manufacturer.

Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with “RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE” in the subject line. All documents submitted will not be returned.

All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Alecia Mitchell, Contract Specialist, by email at alecia.mitchell@va.gov, NO LATER THAN January 31, 2025 @ 12:00 PM EST. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.
