About this file
This is an Intent to Single Source document issued by the City of Tampa Police Department Aviation Unit in Florida for specialized helicopter flight training services. The procurement seeks training services for Bell 407 and Bell 206L-4 aircraft to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, aviation insurance requirements, and operational readiness standards. The document outlines the city's requirement for vendors to demonstrate technical capability, regulatory compliance, operational proficiency, and appropriate insurance coverage to support the Aviation Unit's mission-critical training needs.
The single-source procurement approach indicates the city has identified a specific vendor or determined that only one vendor possesses the specialized qualifications necessary to provide the required training services for these particular aircraft types. Vendors responding to this opportunity must thoroughly address all technical, regulatory, operational, and insurance requirements as specified in the posting. The document establishes that interested parties should be prepared to demonstrate expertise in helicopter flight operations, FAA regulatory knowledge, and experience with the Bell 407 and Bell 206L-4 aircraft models to be considered for award.
