Special Notice

Special Notice

DESCRIPTION

The Bureau of Reclamation Denver Contracting office, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Central Telephone Company, P.O. Box 2961, Phoenix, AZ 85062-2961.

A DETERMINATION TO SOLICIT FROM A SINGLE SOURCE will be prepared. Specifications are as follows:

The Lower Colorado Dams Office needs local telephone service for day to day and emergency operations of Hoover, Davis and Parker Dams. While this is not particularly special service: the location of Hoover Dam and the connection via fiber optic and microwave network to the facility limits the ready availability of what service providers are able to provide to the public switched telephone network. Central Telephone Company is the only vendor that currently services Boulder City and the Hoover Dam and owns the cable that currently connects the LCDO. Other vendors would require construction and easements and pulling cables into the Colorado St. building and create an unnecessary risk in obtaining/continuing a vital service required for water and power management within LCDO

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later 9/21/2022 at 1000 EDT.

A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

The Bureau of Reclamation will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.

All documents submitted, will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contract Specialist, Melissa Miles by email at Mmiles@usbr.gov.
