Text version
Eglin Air Force Base, FL intends to award a Single Source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) to Westnet, LLC. 15542 Chemical Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92649.
Eglin Air force Base has a requirement for Eglin AFB Aircraft Emergency and Platform First-In Alerting Silver annual maintenance 2023-2024 for the Dispatch Centers, AES, and VoIP Crash Line System. Annual maintenance to the Eglin Aircraft Emergency and Platform First-In Alerting Silver is a mission-critical infrastructure supporting Eglin’s Fire Emergency Services (EFES) systems and plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of the base.
Eglin Fire Emergency Services originally installed Westnet Fire Station Westnet, LLC. and is the original manufacturer and service provider for the Fire, Security, and Life Safety Equipment. There are no other authorized distributors or service providers of Monaco products. Due to the controlled nature of fire reporting systems, all FAR companies and their products are controlled and have patents on them not allowing for competition.
Market Research Assessment determined that Westnet, LLC. is the best acquisition path and will be of the largest benefit to the Government. Pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has determined that circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes technical data and cost information, sufficient detail, and convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to meet the requirement. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government.
A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source procurement.
Capability statements are due no later than Friday, 19 April, 2024 by 2:00 PM Central Standard Time.
