About this file
This is an insurance requirements document from the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB) detailing mandatory coverage levels for contractors working at DTMB locations. The document outlines specific insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $2,000,000 for General Aggregate and Products/Completed Operations Aggregate, and $1,000,000 for both Personal & Advertising Injury and Each Occurrence Limit. Vehicle liability insurance is also required for any auto used in providing contract services.
The document specifies that all insurance coverage must be primary and non-contributing, with the State of Michigan listed as an additional insured. Contractors must provide certificates of insurance to DTMB-Financial Services prior to purchase order issuance, with failure to provide proper documentation resulting in award to the next competitive bidder. Subcontractors must maintain the same insurance coverage levels, either through their own policies or inclusion under the primary contractor's coverage. All certificates must be submitted to DTMB-Financial Services at the Cass Building in Lansing, Michigan.
