About this file
This is an Insulation Installation Scope of Work template for the City of Cochran, Georgia, outlining the contractor's responsibilities for insulation installation at the City of Cochran Airport. The scope of work encompasses planning, installation, and quality verification phases across multiple insulation application areas. Planning activities include site assessment to identify existing insulation conditions, air gaps, and moisture issues; determination of required R-values based on energy code and climate zone requirements; and selection of appropriate insulation materials such as batt, blown-in, spray foam, or rigid board. Installation work includes preparation of areas through sealing air leaks around penetrations and rim joists, installation of wall insulation to specified R-values without compression, attic insulation installation or blow-in to required depths while maintaining clearances around heat sources, and floor or crawlspace insulation installation with proper securing to prevent sagging.
Quality assurance and closeout activities require coverage verification to confirm insulation meets required depth and R-value specifications with no gaps or voids, scheduling and passage of energy code inspection prior to installation of drywall or other coverings, and complete removal of all scrap material, packaging, and debris from the job site. The scope of work template requires completion of contractor and client information including project address, start date, and end date, with signature authorization from both parties. No specific pricing terms, contract duration, renewal options, funding sources, or award dates are identified in this template document.

1. Introduction
Getting insulation right makes a huge difference in energy efficiency, comfort, and code compliance. A clear scope of work defines what type of insulation is going where, what R-values need to be hit, and how the work will be inspected.
This template is built for insulation contractors who need a quick, professional document to define the job. It works for new construction, retrofits, and upgrades — whether you're doing batt, blown-in, spray foam, or rigid board.
Fill in the details for your project and you're ready to go.
Planning
• Site Assessment
Inspect areas to be insulated. Note existing insulation, air gaps, moisture issues, and access points.
• R-Value Specification
Determine required R-values for each area based on energy code and climate zone.
• Material Selection
Select insulation type (batt, blown-in, spray foam, rigid board) based on application and budget.
Installation
• Prep Work
Seal air leaks around penetrations, rim joists, and top plates before insulating.
• Wall Insulation
Install insulation in exterior walls to specified R-value. Fill cavities completely without compression.
• Attic Insulation
Install or blow in attic insulation to specified depth and R-value. Maintain required clearances around heat sources.
• Floor / Crawlspace
Install insulation under floors or in crawlspace walls as specified. Secure properly to prevent sagging.
Quality Check & Closeout
• Coverage Verification
Verify insulation is installed to required depth and R-value in all areas with no gaps or voids.
• Inspection
Schedule and pass energy code inspection before drywall or other coverings are installed.
