About this file

This document is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the City of Smithtown Public Works Department for the Industrial Blvd Culvert Wingwall Replacement project. The City is seeking bids from qualified contractors to remove and replace the existing culvert wingwalls along Industrial Blvd. The project includes earthwork, concrete work, and associated site restoration. The IFB provides a detailed scope of work, estimated quantities, and project drawings. Bids are due by 2:00 PM on June 15, 2023, and a mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on June 1, 2023. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and the term of the contract is 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

The IFB specifies that the project is funded through the City's annual capital improvement budget. No set-asides or preferences are included. The current incumbent contractor is ABC Construction, who has performed similar work for the City in the past. Pricing must be submitted on a unit price basis per the bid form, and the City reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as needed. Bidders must provide proof of licensing, insurance, and relevant experience to be considered.
