About this file

This document is a specification for equipment procurement by the United States Department of the Interior's FWS Lamar Fish Health Center – Northeast Fishery Center located in Lamar, PA. The specification details requirements for a MiSeq i100 Plus sequencing instrument manufactured by Illumina (Model Number: i100 Plus) for a new genetics laboratory. The equipment must have a footprint not exceeding 40.2 W x 44.8 D x 47.3 H cm, feature a touch screen interface, be compatible with XLEAP-SBS chemistry, and operate on 100–240 VAC 50/60 Hz, 300 W single phase power. Functionally, the instrument must deliver sequencing read lengths of 100–500 base pairs, generate 10–200 million paired-end reads, achieve ≥85% base calls with Q30 quality, and complete runtime less than 16 hours for 2 x 300bp 25M read kits.

Delivery and pricing terms require FOB Destination pricing with all transportation costs, unloading, and risk of loss borne by the contractor through delivery to the receiving dock at 227 Washington Avenue, Lamar PA 16848. The contractor must pack and mark shipments per specifications, prepare commercial bills of lading, deliver in good condition, maintain a delivery schedule, and contact the Point of Contact no later than three days before delivery during business hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday–Friday). Installation costs must be included in quoted prices, with all labor and parts for installation the sole responsibility of the contractor and completed per industry standards. Section 8.0 indicates that no product installation is required, contradicting earlier installation requirements in Section 4.
