About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation Notice IHS1520444, which addresses contractor inquiries regarding family practice physician services at Tsaile Health Center under the Indian Health Service. The Q&A clarifies that there is no current incumbent contractor and establishes operational parameters for the position, including clinic hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a maximum capacity of 16 patients per day based on 30-minute visit slots across 8 hours of clinical time. The facility does not currently provide obstetric care but does serve pediatric patients, and contractors will support walk-in clinic coverage with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 to 1:00 pm alongside existing permanent staff consisting of four Advanced Practice Providers and one Doctor of Osteopathy.
The document confirms that on-call requirements are not part of the contract scope and addresses housing availability, noting that unfurnished housing is available for contractors with the option to rent furniture, or alternatively, three hotels are available in nearby Chinle, Arizona. The facility operates using IHS-EHR LIVE, an electronic health record system also utilized by the Veterans Affairs healthcare system. Regarding provider certifications, the Tsaile Health Center follows certification requirements established by the Chinle Service Unit. Housing arrangements, the Electronic Health Record system specifications, and staffing structure provide essential operational context for potential contractors responding to this Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) set-aside Request for Quote.
