About this file

This document is an Amendment (Amendment 0001) to a Request for Quote (RFQ) 75H71025Q00139 for Pediatric Physician Services at Gallup Indian Medical Center. The amendment provides detailed questions and answers about the inpatient pediatric service contract, revealing key operational details. The medical center is seeking a physician to cover 10-14 monthly shifts (50% day, 50% night) with an average patient load of 5-7 kids and 5-7 newborns per 12-hour shift. Seasonal admission volumes range from 3 patients in low season to 3-6 in high season, with 2-5 newborn patients for daily rounds.

The contract includes home call from 7 PM to 7 AM, with physicians potentially returning to the hospital 3-5 times per night depending on seasonal variations. Support staff will include 2-3 RNs per shift, 1-2 nursing assistants, respiratory therapists, radiology, lab personnel, and a backup pediatrician. This is the medical center's first inpatient contract, with shift options of 7 AM to 7 PM and 7 PM to 7 AM, seeking a flexible physician available for both day and night shifts. The solicitation is issued by the Indian Health Service, with the last day to submit questions being May 19, 2025, at 12 PM Mountain Daylight Time.
