IMFP Solicitation - Questions and Answers

1) I understand this is hybrid position between inpatient and outpatient but can you please clarify patient load between inpatient and outpatient?

We typically hire contractors as EITHER outpatient or inpatient. We're usually only recruiting for either outpatient or inpatient.

2) Secondly, what’s the frequency of after hours on call services? Hominy physicians there in the department? I was wondering on call is between rotation among them?

Outpatient contractors don't take overnight inpatient call for IM/FP.

Inpatient contractors may take 1 night of overnight call per week. Usually the nocturnist covers overnight inpatient call.

3) Please also specify how frequently weekends coverage required? How busy is usually weekend call and also specify if contracting physician needs to stay within certain mile radius while on call?

Outpatient: weekend responsibilities are at the discretion of the contractor;

they may be offered shifts in respiratory clinic over the weekend, but are not obligated to take those shifts. If they are sign up to be "backup" for a shift, then they would be expected to be able to get in to the hospital within fifteen minutes when called. Inpatient: weekend responsibilities are an expected part of covering the inpatient service.

4) It says two positions are vacant so do we need to provide two CVs Or two physician coverage all the time during duration of contract?

We need a contractor to staff the (2) IMFP vacancies. You may submit as many providers at your discretion.

5) If the provider is a Family Med doc, are OB-GYN privileges available?

No, family med docs will not be performing any OB/GYN responsibilities.
