AMENDMENT #1 – Questions & Answers

Solicitation Number: IHS1414854 Closing Date: NLT 12 PM CST on November 20, 2020 Notice Type: Questions & Answers

Solicitation is hereby amended to incorporate the questions and answers to the combined synopsis/solicitation IHS1414854 for air purifiers. Only those questions received by the question and answer deadline are included.

1. I would like to ask if you like to have replacement filters on hand? Please let me know if you want to add replacement filters on hand and I will include to my proposal.

Answer: This RFQ is only for the air purifiers. Replacement filters will be purchased later upon need and request by the facilities.

2. Can I send in two separate bid proposals from the same company?

Answer: Offeror can submit as many bids as they would like. Each bid will still need to meet all the quote requirements.

3. What is the largest amount of square footage that this system will be required to protect?

Answer: There is no upper limit in the requirements, but these are intended for medium to large sized residential rooms.

4. The product I will offer meets or exceeds the performance requirements under the EPA

Energy Star program for power consumption and environmental standards but it has not been Energy Star Certified. Will you consider a product meets the requirements but has not been certified if we provide documentation supporting the compliance?

Answer: The government encourages you to quote the item and provide the documentation supporting compliance.

5. I’d like to know if your engineers or environmental service team would be willing to consider an industrial/commercial grade unit that will have a much better impact on air quality than a product similar to the HPA300 as well as a much longer life and use durability?

Answer: All offers that meet the quote requirements and minimum technical requirements will be considered.

All terms, conditions, and due dates remain the same.
