About this file

This document contains two addendums related to Invitation for Bid (IFB) P2460014 for the Red Fox Scat Survey & Collection Project issued by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW). The purpose of the addendums is to provide clarification on the project details and update the key action dates. The project seeks dog surveyors to conduct scat detection surveys for the Sierra Nevada Red Fox across multiple counties in California, including Lake, Tuolumne, Plumas, Nevada, and others. The project has a maximum agreement amount of $128,000 and is scheduled over 3 fiscal years, with 65-79 survey days per year in the first two years and 39-53 survey days in the third year. The final bid submission date is September 20, 2024, and the proposed award date is October 2, 2024.

The addendums clarify that bids exceeding the $128,000 maximum agreement amount will be considered non-responsive. The cost per survey day is provided, and bidders are advised to adjust their bids to stay within the budget cap if necessary. This is a grant-funded project, and CDFW indicates the maximum amount is based on the available grant funding.

ADDENDUM #1

Re: IFB P2460014, Red Fox Scat Survey & Collection Project

Dear Bidders, The purpose of this addendum is to answer questions submitted to CDFW concerning this IFB and to amend the IFB’s Bid Cost Sheet and Sample Agreement.

Question 1:

How was the maximum agreement amount calculated?

Answer:

The maximum agreement amount is based on the grant that was alloted to CDFW for this service.

Question 2:

If we cannnot conduct the services within the maximim budget amount, how would you suggest we proceed wih the IFB?

Answer:

If your bid exceeds the $128,000.00 cap, we recommend adjusting it to stay within the limit or refraining from submitting a bid. Bids exceeding the cap will be considered nonresponsive.

Please note that there are changes to the IFB’s Bid Cost Sheet (Attachment 4) and the Sample Agreement’s Exhibit A – Scope of Work (Section 5.B.) and Exhibit B (Section 6.Line Item Budget).
