About this file

This document is an Addendum to Invitation for Bid 40608 issued by the St. Johns River Water Management District for the Orange Creek SJ29 - Pine Plantation Upland Sandhill Groundcover Restoration and Habitat Enhancement project. The addendum provides clarification on the planting spacing, the timeline for completing the work, and the invoicing process. Specifically, it states that the planting quantity of 4,840 plants was an example, and the bid will be awarded based on the most plants for the lowest bid, with the planting potentially at a closer spacing. All pre-herbicide application work must be completed prior to planting, and all planting work must be finished before the contract expires on September 30, 2025. Invoices are to be submitted to the District's Accounts Payable upon approval by the Project Manager.

The addendum also provides details on the invoicing process, noting that the contractor can bill for the pre-herbicide work, plant delivery and installation, and the post-treatment herbicide work on a monthly basis not to exceed the total acre bid amount for the post-herbicide treatment.

SUBJECT: Addendum 2 to Invitation for Bid 40608 – Orange Creek SJ29 – Pine Plantation Upland Sandhill Groundcover Restoration and Habitat Enhancement

As a result of questions received from potential respondents, please be advised of the following changes to the subject Request for Proposal:

1. The time and date for the submittal of responses remains the same: 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 8,

2. Question: Planting the area at 4’x4’ on center equaling 4,840 plants, that quantity would be on 3’ centers.

The spacing was an estimate. This example was to show the percentage of type of plants. We will be awarding the bid based on the most plants for the lowest bid, if it can be spaced on smaller foot centers as well but want the percentage of plants to stay the same. The number given was an example.

3. Question: When is the latest allowable date to complete the installation of the plants?

Please refer to the Statement of Work, section VI. Time Frame and Deliverables:
