About this file

This is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) document issued by the Douglasville Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority for the Midway Road Stormwater Improvement Project in Douglas County, Georgia. The project encompasses the removal of existing stormwater infrastructure including approximately 45 linear feet (LF) of 18-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP), 148 LF of 42-inch CMP, 528 LF of 48-inch CMP, five double wing catch basins, four junction boxes, two headwalls, and one raised pedestal inlet. The contractor must install replacement infrastructure consisting of 59 LF of 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), 96 LF of 42-inch RCP, 46 LF of 48-inch RCP, 481 LF of 54-inch RCP, four double wing catch basins, four junction boxes, two raised pedestal inlets, two concrete headwalls, and associated road restoration. The project operates on a turnkey basis requiring minimal Authority involvement. Plans were prepared by Dane Hanson, PE, dated January 26, 2026. All work is to be performed within Authority easements and public right-of-way, with all necessary rights-of-way, easements, and federal, state, and local permits already obtained.

The scope of work requires the selected contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary for project completion. Bidders must obtain the complete bid package to ensure their bids are considered. The project site is located within Douglas County, and the Authority has secured all anticipated permits and right-of-way requirements prior to bid solicitation.
