About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to the Invitation for Bid (IFB) documents for the Little Florida Road Sidewalk project issued by a Virginia local government jurisdiction. The addendum amends the original IFB No. 27-001 and addresses project timeline requirements and cost savings considerations. The project involves providing all labor, materials, equipment, and other necessary items to complete sidewalk improvements along Little Florida Road, as detailed in the accompanying drawings and specifications. The project must be completed by December 31, 2026, with a mandatory work restriction during the week of October 12-18, 2026 (Poquoson Seafood Festival). Bidders intending to begin work after the seafood festival should indicate this intention in their bids. All bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum as part of the bid submission process.

The addendum clarifies that certain existing elements, such as the concrete apron by CVS and the drop inlet by the concrete swale, may not require replacement, and potential cost savings in these areas should be bid as outlined in the project plans. Final determination of which elements will be replaced versus retained will be discussed during the construction phase. No specific pricing information, set-asides, or funding sources are detailed in this addendum document.
