About this file

This is a cost proposal attachment for an Invitation for Bid (IFB 25-0199) issued by the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for pipette calibration and repair services. The contract requires annual preventive maintenance, calibration, and repair services for laboratory pipettes used by the Plant Pest Diagnostics Branch located in Sacramento, California. The scope includes servicing 128 single-channel pipettes, 31 eight-channel pipettes, and 9 twelve-channel pipettes. The contract term spans two years, with Year One running from April 15, 2026 to April 14, 2027, and Year Two from April 15, 2027 to April 14, 2028.

Bidders must submit unit prices for annual preventive maintenance and calibration services for each pipette type, as well as a labor rate for repairs resulting from CDFA negligence or improper operation. The cost proposal must be comprehensive and inclusive of all parts, tools, equipment, labor, shipping for off-site repairs, calibration reports, and all other expenses necessary to provide the services. Bidders are required to enter a dollar amount for each line item; blank cells or zero dollar amounts will result in bid rejection or be interpreted as the contractor providing services at no cost to the State. The proposal explicitly prohibits alterations, additions, company quotes, or invoices beyond the specified format. Materials not included in the annual preventive maintenance and calibration service must be priced at current market rates representing fair and reasonable pricing.
