About this file

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) document is issued by the BVU Authority, a political subdivision of Virginia, for the procurement of electrical equipment. The BVU Authority seeks qualified and responsible offerors to submit written bids for the furnishing of one (1) substation three-phase transformer with a capacity rating of 18/24/30 MVA. The project is funded through the Virginia Grid Reliability Improvement Program (VGRIP), which supports grid infrastructure modernization and reliability improvements throughout the state. The IFB document establishes the technical specifications, bidding requirements, and evaluation criteria necessary for potential vendors to submit competitive proposals for this single transformer unit.

The procurement is structured as a competitive sealed bid process requiring offerors to meet specified technical and operational requirements for the transformer equipment. Pricing shall be submitted as part of the formal bid response, with evaluation based on bid responsiveness, technical compliance, and cost competitiveness. The IFB is funded through VGRIP resources allocated for Virginia's electrical grid infrastructure improvements. Interested bidders should review all technical specifications, delivery requirements, and contractual terms outlined in the complete IFB document to ensure full compliance with BVU Authority's requirements and conditions for award.
