About this file

This document includes preliminary plans for a highway repair project on Idaho State Route 117 between mileposts 4.0 and 4.52. The project will involve repairing slope failures and installing mechanically stabilized earth walls and gabion rock facings. Reinforced soil slopes up to 16.5 feet tall will be constructed using welded wire forms or gabion baskets wrapped in geogrid. Minimum reinforcement lengths for the slopes range between 14 to 16 feet depending on the slope height. Other details specify foundation preparation, backfill material, drainage features and wall connections. The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation notice for solicitation number 69056723B000004 to repair sections of Idaho State Route 117 between mileposts 4.0 and 4.52 as outlined in the preliminary plans. The project is being conducted by the Idaho Department of Transportation under the Federal Highway Administration.
