About this file
This document is a Justification for Limiting Competition at or Below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SSJ) for a federal contract opportunity.
The SSJ describes a new requirement to conduct STEM training courses on June 26-27, 2024 in support of the Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) event at Bowie State University. The total estimated value is $17,474. The contracting activity is the Mission Installation Contracting Command - Ft Knox, and the proposed sole source contractor is Emerging Technology Institute (ETI), also known as ECO BUILDING CORPORATION. The contract will be a firm fixed price arrangement funded through Operations & Maintenance, Army funds for fiscal year 2024. The justification cites FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) as the authority to limit competition, stating that ETI is the only source reasonably available to provide the specialized STEM training during the required performance period.
