About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details laundry and dry cleaning services for Jackson Public School District's Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) uniforms. The contract requires a contractor to provide comprehensive uniform maintenance services, including laundering, dry cleaning, alteration, and repair of Army Combat Uniforms (ACU), Army Service Uniforms (ASU), and physical fitness uniforms across seven Jackson, Mississippi high schools. The services must comply with Army regulations, specifically DA PAM 670-1, and include precise cleaning standards such as removing odors, stains, and lint, ensuring proper pressing, and maintaining uniform integrity.
The contract is a firm fixed-price agreement with a one-year base period and four option years. Key performance requirements include maintaining less than 5% rework rate for cleaning and alterations, with contractors responsible for pick-up and delivery of uniforms from designated school locations. The contractor must coordinate with JROTC program representatives, conduct joint inventories, and provide detailed documentation. The service is intended to assist families with uniform maintenance costs, ensuring cadets can maintain professional military appearance standards. Invoicing will be done monthly through the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) digital system, with services to be performed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with some extended hours during specific periods.
