About this file

This is the Indian Affairs Indian Economic Enterprise Representation Form, a self-certification document required for federal contract opportunities set aside under the Buy Indian Act.

The form serves as an offeror's self-certification that it meets the definition of an "Indian Economic Enterprise (IEE)" as defined in the Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulation (DIAR) Part 1480. Offerors must demonstrate eligibility at three critical points: when submitting an offer in response to a written solicitation, at the time of contract award, and throughout the full contract term. The Contracting Officer may request additional eligibility documentation at any time during the acquisition lifecycle, including during pre-award proposal evaluation. The form requires offerors to provide the solicitation number, project title, date of submission, name of the federally recognized tribal entity, the legal business name, the Unique Entity ID (UEI), the name of the 51% (or greater) owner of the IEE firm, and a certifying signature with printed name. False or misleading information submitted in an offer is punishable under 18 U.S.C. Section 1001, while false claims during contract performance are subject to penalties under 31 U.S.C. Sections 3729-3731 and 18 U.S.C. Section 287.
