STATEMENT OF WORK

Dual Weapon Simulator Module (DWSM) Repair

PRs 1300995869 & 1301004328

1.0 Background

This Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Code 2514 has a requirement for the repair of Dual Weapon Simulator Modules (DWSM) part number A0071702. This requirement fulfills NUWCDIVNPT’s and the Navy’s mission to supply the submarine fleet with DWS Modules as necessary due to failure of existing in use DWSMs. The DWSM is a launcher card used in the Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (Launcher MTWS) and is an essential circuit card component to the launcher in the 688i and Virginia Class Submarines.

2.0 Scope

The DWSMs shall be sent to the contractor for inspection, repair, and testing. Following the repair to the unit, the contractor shall test the unit. The contractor shall then return the unit to the Government.

3.0 Applicable Documents

4.0 Technical Requirements

4.1 Repair

4.1.1. On arrival of the DWS modules, the contractor shall inspect the ten (10) modules and notify the Government if damage is found.

4.1.2 If the component(s) causing failure are obsolete, the contractor shall provide a recommendation to the Government Point of Contact (POC) via email to have the card returned.

4.1.3 The contractor shall issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping address to return the ten (10) DWS modules to the Government’s facility. The contractor shall NOT scrap any modules.

4.1.4 If any failures are found for any of the modules and isolated to an End of Life (EOL)/Obsolete part, the contractor shall notify the Government immediately and request to send back the failed module to the Government.

4.1.5 Following testing completion, the contractor shall repair the ten (10) DWSMs, or notify the Government in accordance with 4.1.1 above.

4.1.6 The contractor shall inspect the DWSMs after the repair is complete.
