About this file

The document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC). FDC intends to purchase repair parts and services for the I-Con flush and water control systems from I-Con Systems, Inc., the sole vendor for these proprietary products. The contract term is for five (5) years, and FDC estimates an annual spend of $75,000 on these parts and services. FDC requires these parts and services to support its water conservation program across multiple correctional institutions. The document was posted on February 29, 2024, and prospective vendors have until March 22, 2024, to provide information regarding their ability to supply the required commodities or services. Based on the information received, FDC will determine if I-Con Systems, Inc. is the sole source for these requirements.

The justification provided for this single-source procurement is that the I-Con water and wastewater systems are installed in several FDC facilities, and the repair or replacement parts are proprietary, with no third-party components or distributors available. FDC has determined that I-Con Systems, Inc. is the sole source for these services and parts, which are necessary to maintain the water conservation systems in its correctional facilities.
