About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for RFP#4811RP issued by Lake County Schools (LCS) Procurement Services for Food Purchasing Services. The addendum, dated March 27, 2019, addresses a specific clarification regarding the procurement method for food and related products. The solicitation seeks to establish a contract with a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) where the program operator (Lake County Schools) remains responsible for competitive procurement, with the GPO pricing portfolio serving as one potential pricing source.

The addendum specifically clarifies the procurement approach in response to a vendor question about the type of entity that can submit proposals. The intent is to award to a third-party entity like a GPO, where Lake County Schools will maintain responsibility for competitive procurement methods. The document provides contact information for Regina Peeples, the Procurement and Contracting Manager, for any follow-up questions, and includes a section for respondents to acknowledge receipt of the addendum. All other original bid terms, conditions, and specifications remain unchanged from the initial Request for Proposal.

ADDENDUM NO. 1

March 27, 2019

RFP#4811RP – Food Purchasing Services

The original RFP documents shall remain in full force and effect, except as modified herein, which shall take precedence over any contrary provisions in the prior documents.

This addendum is being issued to address questions received, make revisions to the original solicitation document and release attachments.

The following are questions and answers regarding the above mentioned solicitation:

1. Question: Are you accepting proposals from both a Group Purchasing Organization (third party entities) and/or an "Agent"? USDA (as referenced in SP-05-2017) defines these as different types of agreements by which program operators can facilitate procurement. To clarify, is your intent to have an "agent" conduct all competitive procurement methods on behalf of Lake County Schools

(agent is contractually responsible to conduct all competitive procurement methods exclusively for

LCS) or to award to a third party entity such as a group purchasing organization (GPO) where the program operator is responsible for the competitive procurement in which GPO pricing portfolio may be one source of pricing.

Answer: The intent is to award to a third party entity such as a group purchasing organization

(GPO) where the program operator is responsible for the competitive procurement in which GPO pricing portfolio may be one source of pricing.

If you should have any questions regarding this addendum, please do not hesitate to contact Regina Peeples at peeplesr@lake.k12.fl.us or by phone at 352-253-6767.

Sincerely, Regina Peeples, CPPB Procurement and Contacting Manager, Procurement Services
